Musical Director: David Cooke BA, BMus, ALCM
David sings and plays the trombone, keyboards, and various early wind instruments. He especially enjoys being involved in performances of medieval, renaissance and baroque music.
But he has a particular affection for vocal music in general and now spends much of his time working with choirs.
He is presently the Musical Director of the Chess Valley Male Voice Choir, the Wycombe Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, the Damon Singers, the Chiltern Hundreds Bach Choir and Chorleywood Chamber Orchestra.
He has supervised the music for stage productions, and has conducted several operas.
Whichever ensemble he is working with, David is keen to explore lesser known but good quality music of all periods, as well as the better known repertoire.
